It gives us great pleasure to invite you to Hobart ASURA 2025, the Australasian Symposium on Ultrasound and Regional Anaesthesia, Australasia’s most established and premier regional anaesthesia meeting.

All persons intending to attend the conference must register below.

Terms and conditions

Registration confirmation

Your completed registration and successful payment will be automatically acknowledged via email, with an attached tax invoice and receipt.

Name badge

Each delegate will receive a name badge when they check in at the registration area. The badge will be your pass to obtain entry to all sessions and social functions. Your badge must be clearly visible at all times to obtain entry to all sessions and to social functions. The congress managers expect appropriate behaviour from delegates and reserve the right to revoke the name badge and privileges of anyone behaving in an inappropriate manner.

Payment Policy

Payment of early bird registration fees are required by close of business on Monday 27 January to qualify for the rate. Admission to the Symposium will be refused if payment has not been received.

 

Credit/Debit Card

The preferred payment method is credit/debit card. Accepted credit/debit cards are Visa and MasterCard. AMEX is not accepted.  Please note all transactions will appear on your statement as ‘Australian Society of Anaesthetists’

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Congress Managers at events@asa.org.au

Registration: All cancellations must be made in writing to the ASA secretariate at events@asa.org.au. Delegates who, after registering, find themselves unable to attend may receive a full refund up until 10 days prior to the event.

No refunds will be given for registration cancellations received within ten days of the Symposium; however, a substitute delegate may be nominated. Special circumstances are at the discretion of the ASURA Symposium Convenors.

Social Tickets: Regrettably, optional social function tickets will not be refunded if delegate participation is cancelled less than 72 hours prior to the event, as numbers attending are fixed at that point.

Recordings/Copyright

The congress managers reserve the right to use any recordings whether audio or video and/or any photographs taken at any stage during the meeting for promotional, advertising or reporting of the meeting and/or its content at their sole discretion.

Australia operates under the Privacy Amendment (Notifiable Data Breaches), 2017. The objective of these is to protect the right of the individual to privacy of their information.

Europe operates under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union. The GDPR aims primarily to give protection to citizens over their personal data.

The congress managers comply with these legislations and are committed to protect the right of the individual to privacy of their information.

Arinex will not sell your personal information to third parties. If you believe that any information, we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us and we will promptly correct the information. You may also withdraw your consent for use of your information by advice to us in writing.

Why do we wish you to provide your information?

We require your information to facilitate provision of information to you regarding the Congress and to facilitate your participation in the Congress. Information collected in respect of your proposed participation in any aspect of the Congress will be used for the purposes listed below. You can give or withhold your consent for each or all of these uses.

Please indicate your preferences when completing your registration form but please note that we will be unable to forward any information relating to the Congress or to communicate with you regarding your registration if you select ‘no’ to point 1.

What we will do with your information?

  • Planning and conducting of the Congress including arrangements for your participation (e.g. accommodation booking);
  • In the Delegate List published for the Congress;
  • May also be provided to organisers of future occurrences of this Congress;
  • May be used to provide you with information of other relevant events in your area of interest.

The Australasian Symposium On Ultrasound And Regional Anaesthesia (ASURA), is dedicated to providing a harassment-free symposium experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. Sexual language and imagery or the use of personal photos without permission is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media.

Symposium participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the symposium without a refund at the discretion of the symposium organisers.

Respectful behaviour is expected at all times from all participants. Appropriate behaviour respects difference and diversity, respects privacy, and handles disagreement politely. Honesty and fair dealing is expected.

Obtaining consent to quote others, use presentations or take photographs is appropriate and shows the respect expected of participants of the Perioperative Medicine SIG meeting.

If someone makes you or anyone else feel unsafe or unwelcome, please report it as soon as possible to an events person or the meeting convenor.

Alternatively you can make a report via email here. All personal details will remain confidential, issues raised will be investigated and necessary action taken to prevent a recurrence.
